Cafe | The Red Door



Our aim for the Cafe is to produce real good food!

Using mostly local ingredients, everything you eat is deeply flavoursome, nourishing and comforting for those who like honest food.

Eat and enjoy in a comfortable setting, a former Georgian Inn, now our home, cafe and gallery.
Relax in the gallery of a beautiful listed building, or enjoy the bird song and the babbling brook in the peaceful and often sunny courtyard garden. Sounds too good to be true? Well it is true and we are lucky enough to live and work here!

All our dishes are freshly prepared and cooked to order on the Red Door Aga. We have no microwaves or heat lamps! Menus will have seasonal variations to include the freshest of products. As such we are supporters of the slow food movement.

Serving special breakfasts at the weekends, award winning Atkinsons tea and coffees, light lunches, daily roast ham, beef or poached salmon, fresh and succulent for sandwiches. Home made soup and freshly baked Red Door bread and cakes that would grace any W.I. fair.

Enjoy in the cafe, or relax in the courtyard garden with an afternoon cream tea.
